Invitation codes

Description

Registration using invitation codes only.

The option is enabled in Users module settings

Adding invitation codes:

Prefix - the initial 4 characters of the invitation code. You can generate a new prefix or enter your own.

Code - in the right field, select code generation options: Digital(0123456789) Lowercase letters(abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz) Upper case letters(ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ) Lowercase characters(0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz) Uppercase characters(0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ)

Number of characters - number of characters of generated codes. From 8 to 15.

Active until - select the number until which the code will be active. If the period of activity is unlimited, then click the Unlimited

button

Allow multiple use - the code can be used an unlimited number of times if the option is enabled.

Quantity - the number of codes that will be generated per 1 request.

Management and statistics

In the section Managing invitation codes in the column Activation date/Used the following values are displayed:

- Activation date - the activation date of the code is displayed. Single use codes only.

- Used - displays the number of uses of this code. For reusable codes only.

By clicking on the name of the code you will go to the Used codes section and see when and by whom this code was used.

In the Used codes section there is complete statistics of the codes used.

Why is this needed

Use the codes at your discretion. How you will distribute them to your potential clients is your business.

This option was added at the request of one of our clients.

The explanation of why this is needed does not look at all convincing (in our opinion).

However, whenever possible, we do our best to accommodate our clients.
